This page explains what My Garage stores about you and your cars, and how that data is used and kept. Last updated: October 28th, 2026.
What we store
To run your garage, this site stores the information you choose to give it in a secure database:
- Account details: your email address and sign-in method (email and password, or Google).
- Profile details: your name, username, phone number and location, if you add them.
- Vehicle records: make, model, year, specifications, purchase and sale details, mileage and notes.
- Maintenance and fuel logs: dates, costs, shops, mileage and descriptions.
- Photos: images of your vehicles that you upload.
How your data is used
Your information is used to show your vehicles, service history and running costs on your dashboard, to calculate your totals and averages, and to let you sign in and manage your account.
What other drivers can see
The Find owners page lets signed-in drivers search by username and open a read-only view of the cars in a garage. Only share details in your profile and vehicle records that you are comfortable with other drivers seeing.
Where data is stored
Account data, records and uploaded photos are stored in the platform's managed cloud services, and sign-in is handled by the platform's authentication system. We never store your password in your garage records.
Your choices
You can view and edit your name, phone and location on your account page, and edit or remove your vehicles and logs from the dashboard. To ask about a copy of your data or to have your account data deleted, contact us using the email below.
How long we keep data
Records remain in your garage until you remove them or ask us to delete your account.
